Tickets and prices
Each ticket is good for one one-hour skate session, and each session is capped at 60 skaters. The city recommends buying online to guarantee a time; walk-ups get in only if there is room. The rink takes cash and credit cards.
The 2026-27 prices were not posted when we checked. Last season’s pricing page listed:
- Monday to Friday: $10, adults and children
- Saturday, Sunday, holidays and school break: $12
- Children 2 and younger: free
Skate rental is included, in sizes from children’s 8 to men’s 13, with hockey and figure skates. Socks are required to rent skates and are sold at the rink. You can bring your own skates but still need a session ticket. Six blue skate scooters for children 12 and younger rent for $2 at the ticket shed, first come, first served.
Last season’s promotions included $5 skating on Tuesdays after 3 p.m., except Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Groups can book the whole rink through the city’s rent-the-rink program.
Where to park
The city points skaters to two garages, according to its location page:
- Poinsett Garage, 25 W. McBee Ave., entrances on Court and McBee streets
- River Street Garage, 414 River St.
Both are free for the first hour, with a $7 daily maximum. Street parking is also available on Main Street. From I-385, follow it into downtown until it becomes East North Street, bear right onto Beattie Place, then turn left onto Main Street; the rink is on the right just before Broad Street.
Setup closures this month
Crews load in the rink on Thursday, Oct. 29, and Friday, Oct. 30. Main Street from Court Street to Broad Street closes from 7:30 a.m. to noon both days, with flaggers and detour signs, the city’s calendar says.
