What it is

The city produces the festival and calls it Greenville’s longest-running street festival. The 2026 edition had more than 60 restaurants and food trucks serving 300-plus menu items, seven music stages with more than 90 bands, and a beer garden and wine garden with more than 50 taps and wine vendors, according to fallforgreenville.net. USA TODAY 10Best readers ranked it the No. 2 city food festival in 2026, the city says.

The festival runs on more than 2,000 volunteers. Sign-ups for 2027 will be on the festival’s volunteer page; food vendor applications for 2027 have not opened yet.

How 2026 went

The 2026 festival ran Oct. 8-11. The city canceled Saturday, Oct. 10, because of Hurricane Isaias, and stretched Sunday’s hours to noon to 8 p.m. so restaurants could recover lost sales, according to the festival’s 2026 notices.

Paying for food and drinks

The festival has gone ticketless. Every vendor takes credit and debit cards, tap to pay and Fall for Greenville gift cards, according to its payment page. If you prefer cash, the Cash Conversion Tent loads it onto a festival cash card at no charge; cash cards are not refundable. Beer and wine need a $1 wristband, sold at wristband tents to people 21 and older with a valid ID. All entertainment stages are free.
