Day camps

Greenville County Recreation spring break camp. The county’s community centers run a week-long camp of sports, games, arts and crafts and outdoor activities for children ages 5 to 11 in kindergarten through fifth grade. In 2026 it ran from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., March 16-20, at the Brutontown, Mt. Pleasant and Slater Hall community centers, and cost $50 a child for county residents and $63 for others, according to the county’s spring break camp page. Registration opened online on Feb. 16 and in person at community centers and the Greenville County Rec office, 4806 Old Spartanburg Road, Taylors. Expect the 2027 camp to line up with the district’s March 22-26 break; the county had not posted it by Oct. 16.

Kid’s Day Out at the Children’s Museum of the Upstate. The museum at 300 College St. runs play-based day camp days during school breaks from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with team games, museum exploration and a snack. You book one to five days, members hear first, space is “extremely limited” and there are no refunds, according to its 2026 spring break listing.

The City of Greenville’s own day camps run in summer; see our summer camps and pools guide.
