The City of Greenville’s Public Works Department collects trash, recycling and yard waste once a week from single-family homes, duplexes and triplexes inside the city limits, according to the city’s Residential Curbside Service page. Eligible homes are signed up automatically once water service is turned on. Owners of new construction call the Solid Waste Division to have carts delivered.
To find your collection day, enter your address in the GVL Trash Tracker, which the city offers on the web from its Solid Waste Services page and as a free app for iPhone and Android. It shows your schedule, sends collection reminders and tells you where an item goes. The city also posts a collection zone map.
