Where do I vote in Greenville on Election Day?

On any Election Day, Tuesday or otherwise, you vote only at the polling place for your own precinct; early voting centers are closed. To find it:

  1. Open MyscVOTES from the South Carolina Election Commission.
  2. Look up your voter record; the result shows your precinct and polling place address, and your sample ballot before each election.
  3. Or check the county’s polling locations list, published for each election, or call Greenville County Voter Registration and Elections at 864-467-7250.

Polling places can move between elections, so check before each one. Your voter registration card also lists your precinct.

Election Day: Nov. 3

Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and anyone in line at 7 p.m. may vote, according to the Election Commission. On Election Day you must vote at your own polling place. Find it on MyscVOTES or in the county’s 2026 polling locations list.

Photo ID

Bring one of these, under the state’s photo ID rules:

  • South Carolina driver’s license, including REAL ID
  • South Carolina DMV ID card
  • South Carolina voter registration card with photo
  • Federal military ID, including Department of Defense and VA benefits cards
  • U.S. passport or passport card

If you do not have one, the county elections office can issue a voter registration card with a photo.

Absentee ballots by mail

Mail absentee voting is for voters who qualify under state law, such as those who will be out of the county, who have work obligations, or who care for a sick or disabled person during the whole early voting period and Election Day, the state’s absentee page explains. Call 864-467-7264 for an application by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23. Ballots must reach the elections office by 7 p.m. on Election Day, so it is now too late to rely on the mail. Voters returning a ballot in person must show a photo ID, the state’s election guide says.

What is on the ballot

The county posts the full 2026 candidate list and the referendum questions for each jurisdiction. City of Greenville voters will see a referendum asking whether a 1% sales and use tax should be levied in the city for no more than eight years, to allow a credit against municipal property tax and to raise $410,145,000:

  • $294,279,000 for roads, bridges, intersections and sidewalks

  • $41,912,000 for sewer infrastructure
  • $17,580,000 for public assembly, administration and public safety buildings

The city has posted a project list, a projects map and questions and answers. Greenville County also has two countywide referendum questions on the ballot.
